Scout Finch
Jean Louise Finch is an eight year old girl also to be known as scout finch. Scout is characterized as an active and Adventerous girl, always seeking for what's behind the door of the radley place. Her brother jem finch and their summer friend dill always made an attempt to make boo radley come out but Had no success. In the noVel to kill a mockingbird it sTates on page 11 “I was watching Jem try to get the note in the window, when all of a sudden we heard Dill ringing his bell“& ON PAGE 12 IT STATES "When Atticus found out what we were trying to do, he told Jem to stop tormenting Arthur Radley" tHESE QUOTES EXPLAIN THAT alTHOUGH THEY PLOTTED WAYS TO MAKE BOO RADLEY COME OUT, SOMEONE OR SOMETHING ALWAYS INTERFERED with THEIR PLANS. Scout doesn't spend much time with girls her age rather than her summer friend dill and her brother jem. It becomes more frequent for scout to tag along with the boys with just five words from jem, and those words are "your acting like a girl" Scout isn't characterized like a girl who loves dresses and pink but more of a tomboy with a bright mind of her own.. Scout's personality stands out above the rest which makes her unique above any other character throughout the book.
Scout is also characterized as a curios and aler girl meaning that she is aware of discrimination in maycomb but doesn't necessarly understand why. Her rolemodel at home is calpurnia who is her household helper and teaches her not to have hate towards anyone or anything because they are all created equally. Scout is not all that aware about maycombs illness but likes to keep her thoughts and opinions organized and checks with her father atticus for advice when she needs it the most. hER FATHER ATICUS TAUGHT HER NOT TO BE RACIST AND TO NEVER KILL A MOCKINGBIRD BECAUSE IT WAS A SIN. sCOUT SPEAKS AND THINKS WITH A MIND OF HER OWN AND OUTSMARTS WHAT SHE THINKS IS IMPOSSIBLE, SHE IS A STRONG BRAVE GIRL WHO ISN'T ALL WRAPPED UP IN HERSLEF BUT LIKES TO TAKE MATTER INTO HER OWN HAND WHEN IT COMES TO HER FATHERS WORK BUISNESS. tHROUGHOUT THE BOOK SCOUT HAS TAUGHT MANY OF THE CHARACTERS LESSONS AND TO REALIZE WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG, THEREFORE IF SCOUT WASN'T SO CONCERNED FOR MAYCOMB COUNTY AND IT'S CITIZENS, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ON HER OWN AND LEARN TO BE AGAINST PREJUDICE AND RACISM REGARDING IF MAYCOMB WAS FORE IT. sCOUT DOESN'T VALUE OTHERS OPINIONS EXCEPT WHEN SHE IS TOLD SHE IS ACTING LIKE A GIRL BUT WHEN SHE IS TO BE DEPENDED ON SCOUT GETS THE WORK DONE WHICH MAKES HER SUCH AN IMPORTANT AND UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTER THROUGHOUT AND FOREVER.
